Our Mission
The Mahoning Valley Medical Society (MVMS) is a professional and scientific organization dedicated to supporting physicians and advancing quality medical care in the Mahoning Valley and across Ohio. With a legacy dating back to 1872, MVMS fosters professional development, public health advocacy, and community engagement.
Our History
Founded as the Mahoning County Medical Society with just ten physicians, our organization is the oldest professional group in the region. In 2016, Mahoning and Trumbull County societies united to form MVMS, continuing our commitment to serve physicians and communities with integrity and vision.

MVMS offers flexible membership options. Join MVMS alone or in conjunction with the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA). Only dual members are eligible to hold office.
